Known for his pivotal role in launching Peter Gabriel’s post-Genesis solo career and for recording and touring with artists like Paul McCartney, Hall & Oates, and Sarah McLachlan, Marotta brings decades of musical excellence, studio mastery, and live performance experience to the stage. His deep love for the music of Donald Fagen and Walter Becker fuels this project with both passion and precision.
Reelin’ in the Years features a handpicked lineup of top-tier session and touring musicians, each bringing their own distinct voice to the ensemble. Vocalist and guitarist Joey Eppard (of the progressive band 3) and soulful vocalist Lindsey Skye front the band with dynamic energy and authentic delivery. On guitar, Matt Finck masterfully navigates Steely Dan’s jazz-rock sophistication, while Jennifer Maidman—whose credits include work with Boy George and Robert Wyatt—anchors the groove on bass. Versatile singer/songwriter and keyboardist Sarah Power adds rich textures and tonal color with her expressive playing.
The band’s horn section is a standout in its own right, featuring industry veterans like saxophonists Jay Collins (Gregg Allman, Donald Fagen) and Bill Harris, trumpeter Chris Pasin (Buddy Rich, Frank Sinatra), and trombonist Annie Whitehead (Robert Wyatt, Penguin Cafe Orchestra). Trombonist John Fumasoli and bassist Kyle Esposito serve as alternates, each bringing decades of experience performing with world-class jazz, rock, and soul acts.
